Installation in Vehicles
- Installation: An extremely simple, 2-wire connection to the battery is all that is required. When the built-in panic button feature is required, positioning like in the above picture is suggested. It is possible for concealed installation of the VTU with only the panic button exposed – contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details
- Panic Action (SMS): When the panic button is pressed, an SMS is sent to the zone admin’s registered mobile number, mentioning the vehicle, driver and employee details (if registered in the Verayu system). Also, a bright red coloured popup appears on the Verayu dashboard that keeps urging the user to take an action. Once an action is taken, the popup can be clicked to enter closure details, and then “Close” the panic event. NOTE: LaaS API users who do not wish to use the Verayu dashboard need to setup a “Callback URL” for conveying panic button alerts and handle according to their business logic requirements
- Panic Action (IVR): If your account is configured for CabConnect (Verayu IVR), then on panic button press, in addition to sending SMS as mentioned above, will also immediately initiate an automated call to the zone admin’s mobile number, and provide options to conference with the driver or employee inside the vehicle on their respective mobile numbers.
